Originally from the Northern Virginia/Washington DC area, Maurice’s early exploration of musical instruments and different genres led him to discover his affinity for bass guitar. Following years of honing his craft through extensive touring with original bands along the East Coast, Maurice pursued formal education at Musicians Institute (MI) in Los Angeles, specifically the Bass Institute of Technology (BIT).

Here, under the guidance of industry experts, Maurice delved into the intricacies of bass guitar performance and music theory, laying a solid foundation for his future endeavors in sound design. Upon graduation, Maurice stepped into a faculty role at MI, where his 25-year-long dedication to his students has garnered him multiple “Teacher of the Year” awards while continuing to establish him as a respected educator within LA’s music community.

In 2021, keen to further his skills in music production, Maurice embarked on studies at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, pursuing a BA in Electronic Music Production and Sound Design. Having mastered courses on electronic music production, sound design, and mixing/mastering, Maurice graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA and well-earned recognition on the Dean’s list.

Now blending his diverse musical background with his technical abilities, Maurice has seamlessly transitioned into the field of sound design. With a meticulous approach and a commitment to innovation, he crafts immersive and unique auditory experiences, pushing the boundaries of creativity in every project he undertakes.
